FULTON, Miss. (AP) - An Itawamba County grand jury will review the findings of an investigation into the death of a Mississippi wildlife officer in May.

Authorities also say toxicology reports show the blood of the 19-year-old arrested after the death of Sgt. John Collum was not impaired on the night of the incident.

The findings were released Thursday.

Charles “Cody” Weaver was charged with negligent homicide after his car struck and killed Collum about 10 p.m. on May 9.

Sheriff Chris Dickinson says Collum was helping deputies investigate a report of a prowler on John Rankin Highway north of Fulton when he was hit by the car.

Dickinson says charges will be dropped and evidence will be presented to a grand jury next week.

Weaver is free on a $200,000 bond.
