COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio Democrats are celebrating a recent federal judge’s order that restores three early voting days as the party gathers for its annual state dinner.

Former President Bill Clinton is headlining the Ohio Democratic Party event Friday night in Columbus, with nearly 2,500 people expected to attend.

Republicans hold all statewide offices in Ohio, and each is seeking re-election this November.

Campaign finance reports released Friday showed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald trailing far behind Republican Gov. John Kasich (KAY’-sik) in campaign cash.

FitzGerald told reporters he expected Kasich to maintain his money edge. He says he doesn’t believe he’s ever had an election where he hasn’t been outspent, but he expects to have the resources to tell his side of the story.
