ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 51-year-old Oregon man has died after an accident that occurred at a logging operation in Alaska.

Alaska State Troopers say Mark Debater died at a Petersburg hospital where he was being treated following the accident Thursday.

Troopers say that during logging operations on Mitkof Island, Debater was injured when a tree top broke out and fell onto a hook setter.

The name of his hometown was not immediately released.
