PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Acting on a citizen’s tip, Portland police say they have arrested a man sought in the death of his female tenant.

Sgt. Pete Simpson said officers arrested 61-year-old Gary Alan Lewis on Thursday night as he walked in a northeast Portland neighborhood.

Simpson said Lewis was being booked for investigation of murder in the death of 59-year-old Renee Sandidge-Crowell. He’s expected to make a court appearance Friday.

The woman’s body was found Tuesday at a northeast Portland house owned by Lewis.

Police said earlier that the two, who both lived at the home, had not been seen since June 7.
