PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - An 18-year-old Pawtucket man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and agreed to testify against three other people charged in the February shooting death of a Central High School football player.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1qF0yay ) Alain Bedame faces life in prison for his role in the killing of George Holland.

Bedame also pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to commit murder and discharging a firearm while committing a crime that resulted in injury.

The 17-year-old victim was shot through the window of his girlfriend’s home on Feb. 4.

Police say the gunfire was meant for the brother of Holland’s girlfriend and came during a dispute over a stolen cell phone.

Seventeen-year-old Robert Winston is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in March to assault and conspiracy charges.
