GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - After admitting they’d arrested the wrong woman twice, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it finally has the right woman behind bars.

Deputies arrested 31-year-old Ashley Odessa Chiasson Thursday on grand theft and fraud charges. Earlier this year, the sheriff’s office extradited 28-year-old Ashley Nicole Chiasson from Chalmette, Louisiana, and jailed her twice on separate charges.

The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/1okZ5t1 ) reports the two women differed in description by 5 inches and 20 pounds.

An attorney for the wrongly accused Chiasson sent the sheriff a letter of intent to sue on Monday.

The single mother spent 28 days in jail in January. Officials released her when they realized their mistake She was arrested on separate charges during a hearing to drop the original charges.

Ashley O. Chiasson remains in the Clay County Jail
