CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) - Stanford golfers Patrick Rodgers and Cameron Wilson plan to make their professional debuts next week at the Travelers Championship.

The tournament confirmed Friday that both will receive sponsor’s exemptions.

Rodgers is the top ranked amateur in the world, and won both the Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan awards, given to the nation’s top college golfer.

Wilson, a Norwalk native, won the NCAA individual title, last month becoming the first Stanford player to do that since Tiger Woods in 1996.

The tournament’s other two exemptions were awarded to Tennessee sophomore Oliver Goss and Bobby Wyatt, who led Alabama to the NCAA team title. Both of them also will make their professional debuts in Cromwell.
