TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a standoff outside a Tulsa hospital has ended without injury after an armed man near the facility’s entrance prompted a brief lockdown of the emergency room.

Tulsa police say the man surrendered to authorities shortly after 9 a.m. Friday. Earlier, the man had dropped off a patient at the Saint Francis Hospital emergency room then allegedly remained in his pickup truck and refused to leave the property.

Authorities said the man had a gun but didn’t threaten any officers.

The hospital’s emergency room was placed on lockdown as a precaution and visitors were told to use an alternate entrance.
