FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The University of Alaska Fairbanks is offering free science activities for families on Mondays this summer.

The activities are called Magical Mondays and are scheduled to begin Monday at the Reichardt Building.

Officials say the events begin at 7 p.m. in Room 201 of the building.

The events are set to be held each Monday through August 11, except for June 30. No Magical Mondays event is scheduled for that date.

Officials say various topics will be covered, including remote sensing of volcanoes and hidden animals of Alaska’s seas.
