TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - A homicide victim whose body was found by two fishermen in the Wabash River has been identified.

Vigo County Chief Deputy Sheriff Clark Cottom says the body of 50-year-old Michael Pollack was recovered from the water Sunday night.

WTHI-TV and the Tribune-Star report Pollack’s last known address was a men’s shelter. He had last been seen on June 3, five days before his body was found.

Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos has said the body had been in the river for a few days. The cause of death has not been released.
