BELO, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia State Police say a Mingo County man was electrocuted when he attempted to restore power to his home following storms.

Investigators say Tommy Smith was killed Thursday at his home in the Belo section of the county.

WSAZ-TV (https://bit.ly/1sb7nFv ) reports that Smith used an aluminum ladder against the power pole. When he tried to flip the switch he was electrocuted.
