NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - Two inmates have been sentenced in federal court in Natchez for participating in a deadly prison riot in Mississippi in 2012.

One guard was killed and 20 people were injured in the May 20, 2012, riot at the privately run Adams County Correctional Facility in Natchez, which holds immigrants convicted of crimes while being in the U.S. illegally.

Prosecutors say Margarito Munoz-Astello was sentenced this week to 84 months in federal prison, and Raybel Granillo was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison.

Another inmate, Ian Reid, pleaded guilty plea to rioting in a federal prison facility. He will be sentenced Sept. 11. He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Several other inmates have been charged - or convicted - with participating in the riot.
