AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say an Alabama man was killed and another motorist seriously injured in a head-on collision in Auburn.

Auburn police Capt. Lorenza Dorsey said the Friday afternoon wreck on Shug Jordan Parkway involved a Ford Ranger occupied by a 57-year-old man from Sylacauga; and a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 55-year-old man from Auburn.

Dorsey said the Chevrolet pickup truck crossed over the yellow line and collided with the Ford Ranger head-on.

The Opelika-Auburn News reports (https://bit.ly/SVXStK) that the Auburn man was killed and the Sylacauga man was taken by helicopter to a hospital. Their names were not immediately released.
