TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Tulsa Drillers have edged the Arkansas Travelers 2-1.

Jose Gonzalez and Jose Rivera accounted for both of Tulsa’s runs in Friday night’s victory. Gonzalez, who just rejoined the Drillers earlier this week, was a perfect 3-3 with a run batted in, while Rivera was 2-3 with the game-winning RBI.

The Drillers opened the scoring in the second inning, thanks to Jayson Langfels and Gonzalez. Langfels singled, stole second and scored on a two-out single by the catcher.

Arkansas reliever Buddy Boshers retired the first two hitters in the seventh before Gonzalez doubled, bringing Rivera to the plate. The second baseman dropped a hit just inside the right field foul line, plating Gonzalez with the run that put the Drillers in front 2-1.

The victory improved Tulsa’s record to 37-29.
