GRAND ISLE, Vt. (AP) - Youngsters will be learning the ins and outs of fishing at the Grand Isle Fishing Festival.

Vermont Fish and Wildlife officials say up to 500 people, including families with little kids, are expected at the event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Isle fish hatchery.

Instructors will be teaching kids how to cast, tie knots, identify fish species, clean their catch and more.

Saturday is also free fishing day in Vermont where anyone can fish without a license.
