KENMORE, N.Y. (AP) - A Buffalo area police officer has resigned after allegedly drawing a gun on a man while working a side job as a bowling alley security guard.

The Buffalo News reports (https://bit.ly/1lowNf9) Saturday that the Kenmore village board accepted officer Jeffrey Mang’s resignation June 3.

Mang was accused of putting the barrel of his gun to the head of a bowler in February during an argument over a $21 refund.

On-duty police arrived and arrested the man and his friend on charges of harassment and disorderly conduct.

The newspaper says officials placed Mang on leave and suspended him after the men told them what happened.

Their charges will now likely be dismissed. The chose not to press criminal charge against Mang.

Mang did not respond to the newspaper’s interview requests.
