AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - The Western Avenue Armory in Augusta, Maine will host a job fair geared to military veterans.

The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday and include 40 employers and career resource tables. The Maine Bureau of Human Resources, Maine Department of Labor, Maine Military & Community Network and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve are hosting the event.

Organizers say the event is geared toward veterans but is open to the public. They say it will be a chance for veterans and their families to learn about government job opportunities in security, law enforcement, engineering, transportation and other fields.

First Lady Ann LePage will speak at the event.
