ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The Blood Bank of Alaska has broken ground on a new facility.

KTVA reports (https://is.gd/E5xBeG) the new building will be located in Airport Heights.

Officials say the new structure will help ease cramped conditions in its current space.

Donations are still being accepted for the new building, which authorities hope to occupy next year.
