JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - The town of Jackson has installed an electric vehicle charging station just off the south side of the downtown square.

There’s also a reserved parking space for motorists who want to charge up their electric cars.

The service is free, at least for now. It’s part of a larger movement by the town and other government agencies and organizations to promote the use of electric vehicles around Jackson Hole.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1iv02XC ) that four stations are being put in all together.

To use the system, a driver must have an account with ChargePoint, a company that specializes in stations and payment systems for electric cars.
