ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) - The FBI says it isn’t holding a man who was removed from a flight from New York to Las Vegas that was diverted to Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

JetBlue and a passenger’s video show an agitated passenger ignoring pleas to calm down on Saturday’s flight.

FBI Detroit spokesman David Porter said Sunday that the incident “did not rise to the level of threatening the aircraft.” He says the FBI has jurisdiction over criminal actions committed on board an aircraft in flight and says it’s unknown if there will be charges in this case.

Porter says he can’t discuss the man’s whereabouts but says he isn’t in FBI custody.

Passenger video obtained by ABC News shows a man gesticulating and shouting, and flight attendants subduing and restraining him with plastic hand ties.
