JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Juneau police are looking for information on the apparent theft of a documentary film crew’s gear from a local hotel.

Police says a film team from the United Kingdom reported about $2,000 worth of electronics, clothing and other items stolen last month. A member of the crew told police the team had arranged to have their gear locked in a conference room while they went to Prince of Wales Island for their work. They returned to find the room unlocked and their bags rifled through.

Police, in a release, say Crime Line is willing to pay a reward for information leading to identification of those involved. Police say Crime Line board members consider the incident, involving international travelers, as casting Juneau in a “particularly negative light.”
