HARTFORD, Vt. (AP) - Two people have been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Vermont.

Police in the town of Hartford says 58-year-old Roger Trembley of Quebec, Canada, was traveling Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle behind stopping traffic.

Both he and his passenger, 57-year-old Diane Rachette, also of Quebec, were ejected from the motorcycle. Both were hospitalized; officials say both suffered serious injuries, but that Rachette was in critical condition.

Police are investigating the accident.
