ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a shuttle driver was arrested for allegedly being drunk while transporting 15 passengers who had attended a wedding in Aspen.

Pitkin County sheriff’s deputy Jesse Steindler tells The Aspen Daily News (https://bit.ly/1n6dAue ) 53-year-old Ken Maupin was arrested at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Steindler says passengers told investigators they sensed Maupin was intoxicated as he was speeding, weaving, swerving and driving off the road. They ordered the driver to stop the shuttle, and one of the passengers drove the van to an area with cell service to call 911.

Steindler says one of the passengers told investigators she saw an empty bottle of alcohol on the driver’s seat.
