ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) - Cherokee County sheriff’s official say an autopsy has found that drowning caused the death of a 6-year-old boy whose body was recovered from Lake Allatoona, northwest of Atlanta.

Corday Dimilo Duffy of College Park had gone missing Friday night from his family’s campsite near the water’s edge.

On Monday, sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker said the autopsy determined that drowning caused his death.

Baker said his body was found early Saturday morning in about four to five feet of water and almost 25 to 30 feet from the shore.

Baker said there was a large log leading from the shore into the water near where Duffy’s body was found.

Baker told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that it appeared the boy might have walked out on the log and then fell in.
