BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A drug overdose killed a 40-year-old Boise woman whose body was found in an irrigation canal in April.

Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg told the Idaho Statesman (https://bit.ly/T1LZ5z ) on Monday that Alexis R. Palmer died of an accidental methamphetamine overdose.

A Boise Canal company employee found Palmer’s body on April 17, not far from her trailer house.

Investigators have not determined how Palmer ended up in the canal, but say foul play is not suspected.
