NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD has arrested a suspect in connection with the deadly assault on a man in a Harlem subway station.

Kevin McDaniel, of the Bronx, was charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide on Sunday.

Police say it happened June 6 at the 125th Street and Lexington Avenue platform.

They say the victim, James Kutza, of the Bronx, allegedly got into an argument with McDaniel aboard a No. 6 train.

WCBS-AM (https://cbsloc.al/SN8Xg6 ) reports that the quarrel escalated as the train pulled into the station. Police say it spilled out onto the platform where the victim was punched in the head.

Police say Kutza fell and struck his head on the platform. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

It wasn’t immediately known if McDaniel had a lawyer.
