JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say a 52-year-old man was killed when he was apparently bucked off his horse near his home north of Jackson.

Teton County Sheriff Jim Whalen tells The Jackson Hole News & Guide (https://bit.ly/1luaDYO ) a search was launched after the horse came home without its owner, Bob Knori, on Saturday. Search crews found Knori on a levee near his home. He was flown to a hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he was pronounced dead.

Whalen says the initial conclusion was that Knori suffered a severe head injury when he was bucked off the horse.

Knori is survived by his wife and leaves behind two children from a previous marriage, a 20-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son.
