WOBURN, Mass. (AP) - A Peabody man has pleaded not guilty to several charges after being pursued by police in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The Boston Globe reports 33-year-old Michael Daniels was arraigned Monday in Woburn District Court on charges of unarmed robbery, operating under the influence of drugs, carrying a dangerous weapon, larceny of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Bail was set at $25,000.

Police are investigating a claim by a 27-year-old Peabody man also in the truck that he was kidnapped.

Salem, New Hampshire, police told Massachusetts authorities about 4:40 p.m. Sunday they were chasing a stolen pickup truck. Massachusetts troopers pursued it through several communities before it crashed in Boston’s North End. Daniels ran toward North Station where he was arrested. Police said he had a pellet gun.
