HOT SPRINGS, S.D. (AP) - Young women from around South Dakota are in Hot Springs for the 68th annual Miss South Dakota Pageant.

The 14 contestants arrived over the weekend and are rehearsing for the preliminary competitions on Wednesday and Thursday and finals on Saturday.

The pageant will feature Tessa Dee, of Mitchell, who was Miss South Dakota 2013. She represented the state in the Miss America Pageant in September in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and has spent the year promoting children’s literacy.
