ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - Orangeburg is coming up with a new vision this week for what its downtown area should look like.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports (https://bit.ly/1ls6vs8 ) that a public forum sponsored by the Downtown Orangeburg Revitalization Association is being held Monday so residents can weigh in on what they would like their town to look like.

People won’t have to wait months for some report.

A design team will immediately get to work on a plan based on what they hear at the forum and considering such things as the economy, the buildings in the area and the other assets in Orangeburg.

They will then release a concept for the downtown area at noon Thursday.
