ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - St. Cloud police are investigating a report of an intruder who assaulted a man in his home.

A 21-year-old man from Grand Rapids is in custody and is being held in the Stearns County Jail. Police say the intruder entered man’s house near St. Cloud Apollo High School early Sunday and assaulted him over a period of several hours. The man eventually fled to a neighbor’s house where police were called.

Officers found the suspect was still in the man’s home. He’s being held on possible charges of false imprisonment, third-degree assault and other counts.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1si0LVP ) says the victim was treated at St. Cloud Hospital and released.
