MALTA, N.Y. (AP) - Police say searchers have recovered the body of a 52-year-old woman who was swept away after an inflatable raft overturned in a rain-swollen Saratoga County creek.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office tells local media outlets the body of Diana Henderson of Milton was found Monday morning in the Kayaderosseras (KAY-der-ross) Creek in Malta.

She was rafting with four family members on the creek Friday evening when the inflatable boat overturned. A man and three children got out of the water but Henderson was washed downstream.

Rivers and streams in the area were running high and fast over the weekend after heavy downpours Friday. The body was spotted as waters receded Monday.
