BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A St. Albans woman accused of supplying alcohol to her teenage son before he was involved in a fatal crash two years ago is scheduled to be sentenced.

The state’s attorney says Melissa Grant has agreed to a sentence of three months in jail and six months of home confinement as part of a plea deal. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday.

Grant is accused of buying the alcohol that James Companion drank the night he crashed.

Companion was sentenced last summer to a little over two years in prison after pleading guilty to a drunken driving crash that killed 25-year-old Tasha Maring of Colchester. Companion was 17 at the time of the crash.
