TABERNACLE, N.J. (AP) - State police have charged a second person in the shooting death of a woman whose body was found late last year in a rural area of southern New Jersey.

Lorain Hawkins was arrested Friday at her Trenton home and charged with felony murder, robbery, and kidnapping in the slaying of 47-year-old Lisa Armstrong. Her arrest was made public Monday.

Authorities say Hawkins was Armstrong’s sponsor in the narcotics anonymous program. Hawkins was being held on $500,000 cash bail, and it was not known if she had retained an attorney.

Armstrong’s body was found Oct. 8 by a surveying crew along Route 206 in Tabernacle. Four days later, 37-year-old Terrance Patterson of Trenton was arrested on several charges, including felony murder and kidnapping.
