EAST WINDSOR, N.J. (AP) - A woman was killed and two other people were hurt when two cars collided on a central New Jersey roadway.

East Windsor police say 78-year-old Joginer Kaur of Monroe woman died in Sunday’s accident on Town Center Road. She was a passenger in a car driven by 80-year-old Karnail Minhas, also of Monroe.

Authorities say Minhas had stopped at an intersection before he started turning onto Town Center Road. But they say he didn’t yield to another vehicle driven by 23-year-old Samuel Faeflen of Ewing.

Faeflen’s vehicle struck Minhas’ on the rear driver’s side, causing severe damage to Minhas’ vehicle. Faeflen was not seriously injured.

Minhas was cited for failure to yield. He and a juvenile passenger in his vehicle were treated at a hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
