CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Ethics Commission has named a Charleston attorney as its interim executive director.

Commission chairman Kemp Morton tells the Charleston Daily Mail (https://bit.ly/1kXJ9JP ) that Rebecca Stepto will begin her new duties Monday.

Stepto was hired by the commission as a contract employee in January.

The commission fired former executive director Joan Parker on June 5. Commission members didn’t give a reason.
