SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The University of Utah is bringing on a new director for its American Indian Resource Center.
The Office for Equity and Diversity has chosen Franci Taylor as the new leader.
Taylor is a member of the Choctaw tribe. She comes from Washington State University, where she was the Native American retention counselor.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1lun4xL) Taylor’s first day on the job is July 1.
Campus and community members are set to welcome her with a reception at the resource center.
