TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man and a woman are in custody for allegedly breaking into a group home in Tempe.

Tempe police say 31-year-old John Furfaro and 29-year-old Candice Hough are being held on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

Police say the break-in occurred around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Furfaro and Hough allegedly tried to elude police by fleeing the area on a motorcycle and driving to a store where they changed clothes.

Police say Furfaro and Hough also had outstanding warrants for their arrest and Furfaro also was found in possession of heroin and methamphetamine.

It was unclear Wednesday afternoon if either Furfaro or Hough had attorneys yet.
