LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - A Brazilian film crew has asked the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for permission to shoot the annual mayfly hatch on the Mississippi River.

A photographer, sound technician and producer would be working the river between Trempealeau and Lynxville the second week in July.

The La Crosse Tribune (https://bit.ly/1pLOl6O ) says Fish and Wildlife Service employees would assist the crew. GLOBO TV says the mayfly footage is part of an ongoing segment on nature and conservation practices around the world.
