FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two workers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport sustained minor injuries following a lightning strike.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office reports that the workers were servicing an aircraft at the Delta terminal Thursday evening when they were jolted. One worker complained of a headache and was transported to a nearby hospital to get checked out. His injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening. The second worker complained of arm pain, possibly from diving to the ground after the strike. He was treated on the scene.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Mike Jachles says it’s not clear where the lightning hit, but it was likely a nearby field. No aircraft, structures or other equipment appeared to be damaged.
