STAYTON, Ore. (AP) - A bicycle rider who ran over a piece of two-by-four lumber and crashed on a highway shoulder near Stayton died from the accident.
Oregon State Police say 55-year-old Leon Wade Hyatt of Stayton was not wearing a helmet. He landed on his face Saturday afternoon and was taken to a Portland hospital where he died.
