NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged a man arrested after a burglary attempt with robbing a bank.
Troopers say about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, a man wearing a motorcycle helmet entered Artisans Bank on Pulaski Highway in Newark. Police say he gave a note demanding money to a teller, who gave him cash. The robber then fled.
Authorities say about 1 a.m. on Sunday, troopers on patrol saw two men break a glass door at an antiques store in St. Georges. The troopers arrested the men.
Police say investigators linked one of the men, 19-year-old Dylan Lewandowski of Middletown, to the bank robbery. Lewandowski is charged with robbery, attempted burglary and other offenses.
