Western Iowa authorities say woman died in fire

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities in western Iowa say a woman has died in a fire just east of Council Bluffs.

Two other people in the house escaped the blaze, which was reported around 7 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters from several departments fought the flames.

The names of the fire victims and other details have not been released. An autopsy was scheduled on the woman’s body.
