JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Airport authorities in Juneau are hoping a second machine to screen checked baggage will reduce departure delays.

KTOO reports (https://is.gd/yVMAw0) federal funding has paid for the second machine at Juneau International Airport, and it arrived just as Delta Air Lines added Juneau as a summer destination.

That means there are five flights that leave between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. daily. Deputy airport manager Marc Cheatham says that’s a lot of bags to go through one machine.
