JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Alaska’s unemployment rate stood at 6.4 percent last month, which is unchanged from April.

That compares to a seasonally adjusted rate of 6.5 percent in May 2013.

The state labor department says Alaska’s unemployment rate has leveled off since late 2012, fluctuating within three-tenths of a percentage point over the past 19 months.

Nationally, the May unemployment rate was 6.3 percent.
