FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Fairbanks police are appealing to the public for new information on the fire death of a man in 2013.

Johnny Druck Wallis on Jan. 1, 2013, was found on fire on the floor of the city’s downtown post office.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (https://bit.ly/UUxwK9) reports Wallis died four days later.

Police are seeking information on a man who had been with Wallis.

Employees of a restaurant, Bobby’s Downtown, spotted the fire. They crossed Third Avenue to put out the flames.



Police say they have found no evidence that anyone held a grudge against Wallis.

Investigators found no evidence that the fire was set with an accelerant such as gasoline.
