CHATTAROY, Wash. (AP) - The father of a man who died in a house fire at Chattaroy says he had mental health issues.

Charlie Love told KHQ (https://nbcnews.to/1kUASla) his son Brian Love was upset Wednesday night about losing his job. The 42-year-old barricaded himself in his room in their mobile home and his parents heard popping noises that sounded like fireworks as smoke filled the home.

By the time firefighters arrived, the room was ablaze and Love was dead.
