NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Nashville Sounds’ new stadium that opens next season will feature a new high-definition video version of their guitar-shaped scoreboard.

Sounds officials announced plans for the First Tennessee Park scoreboard Friday at a news conference.

The new scoreboard features a high-definition video screen that measures 4,200 square feet. Sounds officials said it would take about 860 32-inch flat-panel televisions to fill that area.

Sounds owner Frank Ward said the team would pay for the scoreboard and currently is in the final bid process.

The Sounds are the Triple-A affiliate for the Milwaukee Brewers. The Sounds move into their new ballpark next year after completing their 37th season at Greer Stadium, which has included a smaller version of the guitar-shaped scoreboard since 1993.
