OCALA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a 69-year-old woman and her two great-grandchildren who hadn’t been heard from since heading from Ocala to Miami have been found safe.

Ocala police say Carneva Harrison Ashley was traveling with 5-year-old Lauren Rowe and 2-year-old Landyn Rowe on Thursday, but they never arrived at the children’s Miami home. Their mother called police Thursday to report them missing but then call back around noon Friday, saying they had finally arrived.

When Ashely arrived in Miami Thursday night, she decided to spend the night at her brother’s Miami home. She then returned the children to their mother Friday morning.
