PALOS HILLS, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say the bodies of two boaters have been recovered in the Cal-Sag Channel in suburban Chicago after a collision late Friday. The search continues for at least one other missing boater, who is presumed dead.

U.S. Coast Guard officials say a 66-foot vessel with a cargo of six barges collided with a 19-foot pleasure boat near Palos Hills. A crewmember on the larger vessel notified Coast Guard officials, and a search was immediately launched.

Search teams recovered two bodies - one male and one female - Saturday afternoon. It was unclear how many people were on the pleasure boat, but officials said they were looking for at least one more victim.

Crews switched from search efforts to recovery, Coast Guard Capt. Amy Cocanour said in a statement.
